Offer a 7-day rolling calendar view like in Google calendar.
This helps with always having the current day on the left, and always having a 7-day view for planning ahead (planning can easily be adjusted in 7-day increments instead of sun-sat weeks. Once a day is done, there is no value in showing it. Show me today and the future. There's nothing I can change about the past - so there's little value in showing it.
