AI Planner: Mark multitask-friendly events as ignorable
Implement a setting for calendars (for calendar "groups", not accounts) that allows users to exclude the calendar from AI Planner's consideration. When enabled, AI Planner will disregard all events and tasks associated with that calendar.

To clarify, hiding calendars or using calendar sets to hid events and tasks from calendar groups doesn't work for you in the AI planning settings.
Is that correct?

Danny Hatcher (Customer Support) I have some recurring events and scheduled tasks that let me multitask (do other tasks during them). I’d like an option to mark these events/tasks so that AI Planner ignores them during scheduling, rather than factoring them in.
My initial idea was to flag specific calendars to be ignored by AI Planner in the settings of each calendar. But on further thought, this could potentially be implemented as a Frame setting instead, giving more granular control.

Yes, as long as it works on recurring events and tasks. But I have a calendar group for all of these types of events and tasks so it would be a faster fix for me to be able to only mark that calendar group instead of every recurring task and event.

Hi Danny Hatcher (Customer Support) – I don’t think it’s the same request.
The “timebox grouping” idea seems focused on visually organizing tasks—essentially bundling smaller tasks into one block on the calendar to reduce clutter and make rearranging easier.
My request is about AI Planner behavior—specifically asking for a way to mark certain events or tasks as ignorable, so the AI doesn’t plan around them but instead treats that time as “free”. These are events I can multitask during, so I don’t want them to block scheduling of other tasks.
So while both deal with task scheduling, the goals and implementation are quite different. Merging them would likely bury this separate use case.
