When creating a calendar event, I can choose between “busy” and “free” in a field.
I use this by entering certain dates with “free”, because although I am not necessarily busy, I want to have this information in the agenda.
When using the Booking Page / Open Invite function, the system does not check whether an event (especially full-day events) has been entered as “free” or “busy”. This leads to times being blocked when I would actually be available.
Can you add that the function checks whether an event has been entered as “busy” or “free”? If “free”, then the availability should be confirmed.
Context & example: I use several CalDav calendars. In the working calendar, for example, the days are entered on which the central banks decide on their reference interest rates. I want this information in the calendar because it influences my planning, but I am always available. Or: my planned holidays are entered in my private calendar (not the cleanest way, but it has its reasons).
workaround: Yes, exists: I could enter 'free'-events in separate calendars and then specify that these calendars to be ignored when it comes to availability of the bookingpage / openinvite-feature. works, but it is complicated and not intuitive; esp. if there is an explicit availability field when creating an event.
