It would be amazing if we could forward an email so that it shows up as a task on the Morgen calendar OR to have a direct integration with Google that allows you to send an email to a task in Morgen.
Agreed. I using Todoist integration in Spark, for email to task and of course, Todoist in Morgen to show my task in Todoist. Long process.

I'd love to see this. amie.so does something similar where you can actually import your inbox and use emails as objects to drag and drop into time slots. It was pretty nice.

I say yes to the simple case of forwarding an email so the email shows up as a task. I do this now with google tasks and it integrates with Morgan, so its partially solved that way. I do urge caution with more complicated version of this feature, which is parsing of email messages content and interpretation of its meaning to 'automagically' create tasks , as Motion claimed to have this feature but I found it was unreliable …it would currently take a smarter and more expensive AI to understand the content and guess a title, duration, priority from content, and then would probably mess up anyway!

I have created a workaround for this in the meantime using Relay AI (you could also use Zapier). When I label an email as "Action Required" in Gmail it gets sent as a to-do item in my Notion to-do list (which then appears in Morgen)! A bit long-winded but it works.
A native feature would be better but sharing in case it could help anyone else in the meantime! :)

shift + t in Gmail adds them to Google tasks which is integrated in Morgen.

This would be huge. Having emails come in the sidebar as tasks that can be scheduled onto the timeline would be an absolute gamechanger. I'm coming from Amie calendar which had this a while ago and it saved tons of time going back and forth to the mail application when planning the day. I hope the Morgen team can take this one under dev to have it implemented <3 . Thanks!!

My employer blocks all integrations with Outlook, so I currently subscribe to my work calendar using an .ics link. This the reason Morgen is a winner for me. The ability to create tasks by forwarding my work emails to Morgen would be a complete game changer for me!

Since there is a partnership with Fastmail and Fastmail doesn't seem to want to support tasks, it would be great to have an action in Fastmail rules like "Create Morgen task".
If not, being able to forward an email to Morgen that would create a task based on the email would be helpful.

The Gmail integration in Sunsama is really good and worth referencing. You can just browse your inbox in Sunsama and drag the emails into your calendar as tasks

Akiflow and Sunsama do it in the same high level way. You add a specific tag to an email and it shows up in the platforms. Both allow you to click back into the email from the task, which is great. This is essential functionality.
