Event update notification (don't send option) or just new invitees.

Sometimes I will set up a meeting, then need to add an invitee (or more than one). While there are times that it is important for all the invitees to know about the additional attendees -- lots of times it isn't (and the extra email is just spam for the original attendees). Other calendar programs provide the option to send the updated invite to everyone or just to the newly added people. Would be great to have that option here too.

    Edit event silently

    Editing event with guests prompts “Meeting update confirmation” where the only “exit and save” option is also sending the notification about changes.

    This is not necessary, I need to be able to also edit an event without notifying guests.

    Google calendar API has a function parameter for this.

    So just add the button “Do not send”, please?

    Also this is prompted even on changing RSVP where there is not this option.

    I think that the RSVP should be without confirmation, just press button and get a confirmation of your choice. As google has it already.

    pleaassee do this, Jonny makes a good point - sometimes we need to update to suit our context, but that isn't relevant for everyones.

    And if its a calendar I manage I dont need updates via email as well…..

    Yes - I want this too, and also want the below, but I see them as two different things:

    1. Update the event for everyone but don't send an email to them (just quietly make the change - like correct a spelling mistake I made initially)

    2. Update the event just for me and don't send an email (obvi), like for if I want to add my own private reminders or notes

    Would love to have this features too. I am in the real estate biz and occasionally wanted to add in details about the buyers details etc in the title or notes section without calendar sending a notification to them.

    Yes, can see that. I've used that in Outlook quite a bit.

      Whats the point of putting anything in review if it just sits there for 2 years?
