Hmm…I agree that widening it isn't the most immediately visible option but coloring it makes me nervous too. Between the calendar and list colors, mine is already very colorful. I'm not sure I want another color indicator in the mix. I use dark mode, so maybe if it was a slightly lighter shade of gray but I'd have to see it to say whether that would work better for me or not.
