Mobile Tasks Widget
It would be great if one of the available widgets was a Task Category - eg your work category that lists all your work tasks.
Even better if the list of tasks in the widget is vertically scrollable and you can sort by eg date due.
An option to add a task straight into a list rather than the calendar.

Is there any difference technically in widges for MacOS v iOS? - Some iOS widgets don't work well on MacOS.

1000% agree with this.
We should have an option to choose where those quick captures are captured, or at least default to the inbox and then give the option to choose which list it goes with.

I think if we'd be able to filter the things (be it calendar events or tasks) showing up in the widget that'd be the endgame here :)

Agreed! Is my biggest issue with Morgen. If I'm doing a quick add for a todo I shouldn't be forced to schedule it right then and there.

Yes, that is something I was looking for too. It would really be helpful.
And as another suggestion from me, is that maybe having a small preview of the day would be helpful as well (the preview would have the current time bar in the center). You could also set the amount of time it could display at a time. For example: if you set it to 4 hours, it would only show that duration of then day (the offset could be configured too as like 4 hours in the future or the past/completed day schedule. It would also me set to something like 1 hours in the past and 3 for the future)

This would be helpful for me too. I've currently hacked together a macro with Tasker that taps through the menus to get to the place where I can type in a new task. A native shortcut that brings you directly to the "Add a task" modal, or opens a modal over your current app would be much more convenient. Same with events, but the widget has a + button that can add events and scheduled tasks already so I'll get by for now.
