I've been looking at other products outside of Morgen.

I'd really appreciate a proper task management. So far Morgen feels like a bloated calendar with a "okay" task management.

I bet just few people do their task management in Morgen.

I really loved it in awork.

Introduce (customizable!) projects with subtasks. Introduce new views like a Kanban view for either multiple days or status (todo, in progress, in review, done and so on). You first of all need statuses anyway because there aren't any.

I think Morgen could really shine as a project management tool if it got more in depth with its tasks.

    I thought the same, but came to the realization that more than a task management platform, Morgen is a schedule management platform that connects to other task management platforms via integrations, and that, as such, it wouldn't shine as a project management tool, as it's solving a related but different problem.

    Maybe this works for you, Dultus, I've managed to boost my productivity by combining Morgen and a GTD-inspired Linear workspace (free for small-scale individual use, btw). The idea is to capture, clarify, prioritize and track progress of all tasks in Linear, and use Morgen exclusively to timebox the most relevant ones.

    In my case, in my Linear workspace I have the following issue statuses: (P4, P3, P2, P1, P0, Triage), (Ready), (In Progress, Back-burner), (Done, Duplicate, Canceled).

    However, in Morgen I ::only:: show Ready and In Progress via the filters when grouped by Status. This eliminates all visual clutter, as I only have the visual presence of the 5, maybe 6, most relevant tasks. The rest of the issues are managed in Linear's UI, which was made specifically for that purpose.

    Related: I wrote two FRs that aim to reduce visual clutter and context switches when interacting with Linear. I truly think that the combination of both is an organizational game-changer.

    Hi.

    Could you expand on this as a feature request?

    Subtasks are available in Morgen.

    The various status options is an interesting idea however, how would this interact with current tasks?

    When I think about todoist for example, that has done or complete just like Morgen. Are you thinking more like Clickup?

      Danny Hatcher (Customer Support) I think about more "traditional" project planning. Like Jira, Trello and so on. Custom status would be great. E.g. Backlog, In Progress, Blocked, Done, Cancelled, In Test, In Review etc.

      In general I feel like the list view is too cluttered if you have too much to do even if you set a filter. That's why labels would be great as well (as already mentioned in another FR)

      Dultus I am going to merge this request with the board view as that cover task statuses.

      The rest of the discussion is great, but it is hard to pin down to a feature request. Might be worth creating a thread on this in discord.
