Overdue scheduled task list

I have long-running tasks - things that take multiple days to complete.

I want to block my time, but I know each day I'll have incomplete tasks I need to schedule more time for.

I want to schedule this manually, not always with the AI planner. But the tasks don't show up in the sidebar anymore.

If I click "unschedule tasks" Morgen removes my old time blocks! This is bad - I no longer have a record of the past. That's useful in a general sense, and because I do work that requires logging my time.

This behavior makes Morgen hard to use for my situation.

Please design a way to handle uncomplete tasks that doesn't erase data from the past.

    To clarify, in the "View" settings in the sidebar you are showing scheduled tasks but tasks that are scheduled on the calendar don't appear.

    Is that correct?

    The due date doesn't impact if they are shown in the sidebar.

      Danny Hatcher (Customer Support) Hmmm I didn't have that checked, but that doesn't really resolve my problem. In fact, I think it makes it worse.

      Here's what's happening:

      On e.g., Monday I add a 2hr time block for a task I've estimated to take 16 hours. Obviously, I don't complete it Monday.

      Tuesday morning, Morgen has a little popup: "Task XYZ hasn't been completed". My options are 2 choices to use the AI planner to reassign them, or to completely unschedule them.

      I want to plan them out manually (not with the AI planner). I also want to keep tasks out of the sidebar once they're scheduled today or in the future, so my sidebar shows only things I still need to take action on.

      Here's the problem: If I click "unschedule Task XYZ", it removes all my past time blocks! I lose information about how I spent my time! (that's important for personal and professional purposes). I also lose credit against the task's time estimate (Morgen sees zero time worked for the task).

      I want a button that makes incomplete, unscheduled tasks visible in my sidebar, without destroying information about the past.

      Does that make sense?

      I think what I kind of want is to just ignore the popup because it's not helpful, and then to have a sidebar section that's like "overdue" except it includes everything from the past that's not completed. Whereas "overdue" won't show things that aren't annotated with a due date.
