It seems to me that a calendar event is (by order of priority): time/subject/location/people (when it's a meeting with others).
The location field is currently buried at the bottom of the edit event window, between two "time" settings. "Tag & color" is prioritized (while, when using sane calendar defaults, it is probably not much used). Tag & color could be a button at the top, and "Alert + Busy + public" could be repositioned (close to the time setting).
TL;DR: a block for the "location" with better visual separation would be great.
