Separate date format and time format
Something is definitely messed in the 'Timezone' & 'Language and time format' settings. I speak English but live in Switzerland and could live with dd/mm/yyyy (well, my fave format of yyyy-mm-dd doesn't seem to be available) but want 24hr military time display. The moment I choose 24hr it sets English (United States)!! This makes no sense…
And with tasks regardless of above settings task due dates show as mm/dd/yyy! Yes, when I don't have US set…
Please fix bugs and extend options.

To clarify, when you change to the 24hr option you still see tasks in 12hr format.
Is that correct?

Danny Hatcher (Customer Support) it does change to 24hr but it also changes to "English (United States) which means a date format I don't want.
Setting one thing and another thing changes (and no preview) is not helpful…you need to remove the interdependencies and just let folks set the formats they want. Ideally I would just set the hour format "24hr", date format "yyyy-mm-dd" (that should apply to calendar and tasks too) and First Day of Week to "Monday" - that is what I and others just want to be able to set.
