Todoist task completion sync working on desktop but not mobile

When marking a Todoist task complete on the desktop app, it is also marked as complete in Todoist, saving me from having to jump into the Todoist app and also mark as complete. But when attempting the same on the mobile app it does not mark the task as complete in the Todoist app.
