Warning for events/tasks not shown

It would be helpful if there was some sort of visual indication of items that are not in current view. For example, right now my view whos 9am to 6pm, based on my display settings. Due to this I almost missed the fact that I have a soccer game to attend tonight at 7pm. Some kind of subtle visual indicator that I have more events scheduled, but out of view would prevent this situation. Thanks!
